Because the film received only a restricted international release, the domestic box office accounts for the vast majority of its earnings. Presently, Soori’s movie is providing formidable competition to releases starring Suriya and Dhanush.

The Tamil sports drama delivered a massive opening weekend, driving domestic collections past the 50 crore mark during its first week alone. On its second Tuesday, the feature brought in a net total of 1.9 crore in India across 3,400 screens. The cumulative net domestic collection now rests at 79.9 crore, which translates to a gross of 94.28 crore. Internationally, the picture has pulled in 15.85 crore in gross revenue, pushing its worldwide accumulation to 110.13 crore.

According to industry tracking, the project has now outearned every Suriya film in Tamil Nadu with the sole exception of Karuppu. Similarly, it has surpassed the state-level earnings of every Dhanush film except Raayan.

Mandaadi remains on course to eclipse Raayan, which will leave every Dhanush movie behind it at the state box office.
