In 2008, 50 Cent helped transform a neglected Queens garden

Rapper 50 Cent played a key role in transforming the Baisley Park Community Garden, which was later renamed the Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson Community Garden. Renovations kicked off in 2007 and wrapped up with an official reopening in November 2008. Among its notable upgrades are rainwater collection funnels designed to offer practical utility as well as shade for guests. The space received additional improvements in 2020, featuring the installation of a solar-powered water pump alongside extra garden beds.
