“Arjun ko Mahabharat ka yuddh jeetne ke liye Gandiv ki zarurat padi thi. Kanoon ka Gandiv hai suboot,” tells a very sharp Rajeev Singh Tomar (Jaideep Ahlawat) to Mahesh Deshmukh. And thus the Deshmukh family, on Meere Deshmukh (Tabu)’s call for revenge and justice, and Mahesh Deshmukh (Rajat Kapoor)’s insistence to reopen the biggest criminal case of Hindi Cinema! Drishyam 3 arrives with the most unknown yet known threat to the Salgaonkar’s – ‘Khatra kabhi bhi aur kahin se bhi aa sakta hai.’ And together they face the deadliest trial against them. But do they survive? Of course, yes! Say why? Because Drishya kabhi jhooth nahi bolte, and Vijay Salgaonkar makes sure that he sees what others cannot!
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav, playing the Salgaonkars. Vijay Salgaonkar, his wife Nandini, and daughters Anju and Anu are a family from Goa, who accidentally killed the son of the then IG of Goa, Meera Deshmukh. Ever since, they have been protecting each other, staying super strong as a family and trying to hide the crime they committed, with the vision and plan of the head of the family, Vijay Salgaonkar!
The Salgaonkars return one final time to close this case against them, once and for all! Writers Aameel Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, along with Abhishek Pathak, structure a finale that delivers the end this franchise needed. An end that is whistle-worthy, and worth every penny you would have spent to buy the tickets for Drishyam 3, being titled as Drishyam: The Conclusion. The final chapter delivers pure thrill and an unforgettable finale that this franchise deserves!
Drishyam: The Conclusion Movie Review: Script Analysis
The story starts many years later, after the second part, where we see Tabu’s Meera Deshmukh grieving for her son, who has been forgotten. On the other hand, Salgaonkars are trying to move on and find peace in their lives with a final petition to end their case and let them live peacefully as a family! Their roads cross as SP Rajeev Singh Tomar arrives to reopen the file, and a cut-through chase begins! How does Vijay Salgaonkar win this game of chess? What is his final checkmate move? Why does his silence serve as gold? How does Jaideep Ahlawat’s fury make you feel that the ball might move to his court eventually? How does Prakash Raj act as one of the best lawyers trying to get justice for Sameer Deshmukh? All of this becomes the plot for Drishyam 3 or Drishyam The Conclusion.
Drishyam: The Conclusion Movie Review: Star Performance
Ajay Devgn is the man of the moment, and honestly, I am in awe of his skill set. In a 2-hour 50-minute film, I saw him barely speak for 8 – 10 minutes in total. And honestly, with his silence, the man literally rules the entire film like a king, waiting for his final move! Ajay Devgn delivers a master in playing a psychologically sharp criminal, to be honest! His heavy eyes, understated body language, and a calm exterior mask an ultra-sharp mind. He proves why Vijay Salgaonkar is one of Indian cinema’s most iconic characters, and he doesn’t need theatrical monologues to prove this!
Jaideep Ahlawat is an absolute threat that Vijay Salgaonkar deserved! His presence is intimidating, sharp, and commanding. They probably share only one scene, but that sets the tone of the entire film! Tabu delivers yet another deeply emotional performance as Meera Deshmukh. But honestly, she does not have to do much. The same goes for Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav. However, they still win with whatever parts they get! Prakash Raj adds a brilliant tone and intrigue as the legal counsel for Sameer Deshmukh as he makes a case against the Salgaonkars! Kamlesh Sawant as Inspector Gaitonde adds all the humor that gets the claps and the whistles!

Drishyam: The Conclusion Movie Review: Direction, Music
Abhishek Pathak very carefully and intricately builds this world as Ajay Devgn’s smirks keep meeting Jaideep Ahlawat’s fury, making this thriller the best conclusion for a trilogy ever! When a franchise sets the benchmark as astronomically high as Drishyam and Drishyam 2 did, crafting a trilogy was like walking over a canyon. But writer-director Abhishek Pathak and his writing team take an entirely independent narrative path, diverging from the Malayalam film and craft an original finale honoring Vijay Salgaonkar’s criminal mind and his legacy to protect his family at any cost!
The script relies heavily on criminal psychology. Where Drishyam was about cleverness, Drishyam 2 was about, and now Drishyam The Conclusin is all about the legal loopholes and how Vijay Salgaonkar keeps filling them, fooling the law for one last time! The brilliance of the film lies in its screenplay – it is too tight. So sharp that it could cut through right into the audience’s eagerness and excitement! While the prosecution builds a wall of evidence brick by brick, Vijay Salgaonkar stands practically silent. Yet, every movement, glance, and subtle setup in the background pays off in an explosive final payoff. The narrative trickery isn’t just about hiding a body anymore – it’s about manipulating the truth.
The real star is Ravi Basrur’s background score. It elevates the film to the best point it could! It builds the unease and lets the silences breathe. Basrur understands that with a protagonist who barely speaks, the music has to speak for him. It heightens the chase and sharpens the reveals without ever drowning the drama.
Drishyam: The Conclusion Movie Review: The Last Word
In one of the scenes of Drishyam 3, Prakash Raj, Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Rajat Kapoor’s characters discuss their educational qualifications and how they are struggling to fight a mind that is ‘Chauthi Fail.’ Meanwhile, Vijay Salgaonkar, in the climax, sets up the theory of the film – “Filmon ka sach hona zaroori nahi hai, unka sach lagna zaroori hai.” And Drishyam 3 looks believable, it has the conviction and the guts that dares to take a different route!
Drishyam 3 achieves what very few thrillers accomplish: it is intelligent, respects its characters, and delivers a grand finale that is spectacular! Vijay Salgaonkar is the greatest storyteller I have ever seen on screen. He uses truth, illusion, and silence to protect what matters most – his family, and on a bigger and better note, he protects this film and how! He wins through narrative, through patience, and through the quiet and confident vision of a man who has already planned his story till the last scene.
Drishyam 3 is a finale that understands what made the franchise work in the first place: an ordinary man, an extraordinary mind, and a story told so well that everyone believes it. Ajay Devgn’s calm and Jaideep Ahlawat’s fire end the saga with confidence. Yes, it does talk a little too much in the middle. But when the film reaches the climax, you just say – What a finale! Proper commercial paisa vasool entertainer!
4.5 stars!
