While speaking of episode 4 and what they would like to rewatch from the show, Aaron shared an interesting, fun fact. He revealed that it had been a long night and that they were watching musicals despite the intensity of the scene. Aaron said, “And it was so long that eventually Kyle and I decided to just hang out in my trailer together. And, um, we just started watching, um, clips from the original Oliver Twist. And so, like… and, like, despite how heavy that scene is. just know that we were watching musicals.”

Lanterns star Kyle Chandler shared his take on the show’s multiple twists and turns. He opened up about where he knew anything in advance about the show’s twists and turns and added, “I can’t pick a twist that surprised me the most. I got to be really quite honest. It’s been a year and some since we shot that. I just watched the final episode today and was trying to catch up on all the twists and turns. There was a lot going on.” Kyle continued, “How did, uh, how did Hal end up with a bullet in his head? That was, that was under everyone’s microscope, so that was a big one, obviously.” He also gave a shout-out to his co-actors in the show, especially Kelly MacDonald, aka Kerry.

Kyle Chandler reflected on Hal Jordan’s relationship with John, highlighting how the character’s past shapes his present and future. Aaron Pierre praised the writers for crafting a “beautiful first season,” noting that Episodes 1–4 establish the world while Episodes 5–8 see “the game really begins.” He explained that his biggest challenge was portraying a younger John Stewart before he became the seasoned hero fans know. “I had to figure out who the man was before he became the man,” Pierre said, describing early John as experienced in life and as a Marine sniper but still “Green” when it came to understanding what it meant to be a hero and save lives as part of the Green Lantern Corps.
