Haiwaan Day 5 Box Office: film stays at Rs 70 lakh in India

Starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, Haiwaan—a remake of Priyadarshan’s film Oppam—arrived in theaters on September 11, drawing mixed reviews and a sluggish response at the box office.

During its fifth day in cinemas, collections remained steady at Rs 70 lakh net. This brings the movie’s total net collection in India to Rs 8.75 crore, while its worldwide gross currently stands at Rs 13.61 crore.

Produced on a budget estimated between Rs 100 crore and Rs 115 crore, the feature is significantly underperforming commercially.

The ensemble cast also features Boman Irani and Shriya Pilgaonkar. The project marks the seventh time Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar have shared the screen together since Tashan in 2007.
