The Uninhabitable Earth by Adam McKay receives a serial order on HBO Max
HBO Max has announced that they have officially given a series order to eliminate the next adaptation of the anthology series of The uninhabitable land, based on the best-selling novel by author David Wallace-Wells New York Magazine Article on climate change of the same name. In addition to executive production, Emmy nominee Adam McKay (Succession) has also registered to write and direct the first episode.
"Adam is one of the rare artists who can deliver a sharp and shocking message in a piece of great entertainment." HBO content director Max and President TBS, TNT and truTV, said Kevin Reilly in a statement (via The Futon Critic). "I can't wait to see what he does with this material, since there is no more timely and relevant message than a wake-up call about climate change and the growing impact on our lives."

First published in 2019, The uninhabitable land it offers readers a travel diary of the near future and the impending terrors (sea level rise, food shortages, refugee emergencies, climate wars and economic devastation) that we will all face. The work of Wallace-Wells predicts all the ways in which the world will transform forever if we don't take quick and radical measures.

The adaptation is developed as a series of anthology that will be composed of independent fiction stories that cover a wide range of genres and possible futures that could result from the rapid warming of our planet. In addition to McKay, WarnerMedia plans to recruit the main directors and writers to join the first season in order to create a provocative and entertaining series that takes advantage of our concern with the delicacy of our planet to the precipice.

The uninhabitable land will be produced by Succession Producers Adam McKay and Kevin Messick through their Hyperobject Industries banner. Paul LeeDickinson) and Mark Roybal (No country for old men) Wiip are also established as executive producers along with David Kaplan of Animal Kingdom (Follow) and Andrea Roa (Comes at night) Wallace-Wells has signed as a consulting producer for the series.
