In Black Lightning Season 5, Black Lightning chooses to work with Anissa and Gambi to help clean up the streets of Freeland. This series follows Black Lightning’s quest for justice in a world that has turned its back on him. Black lightning is finally able to take out Tobias, who is coming after Anissa and his family. The final episode reveals that Green Arrow is the one behind all the events of Black Lightnings Season 5.

-Cress Williams as Black Lightning: Black Lightning is Black Lightning alter ego. He works with Anissa, Jennifer, and Gambi in order to help clean up the streets of Freeland. Black Lightning’s main enemy is Tobias, who has come after him, his family, and friends multiple times throughout Black Lighting Season Five. Black Lightning has to make sacrifices throughout Black Lighting Season Five, but he always gets back up and fights for his family.
-Nafessa Williams as Thunder: a daughter who assists Black Lightning in his fight against crime. Thunder’s love interest is Khalil, and they eventually get married, which makes Black Lightning a father-in-law to Khalil. Black Lightning Season Five follows Black Lightning and Thunder’s ongoing relationship, which includes the birth of Black Lighting and Thunder’s newborn baby.
-China Anne McClain as Jennifer Pierce: Jennifer has the powers of lightning, which she gets from her dad Black Lighting, although she can’t control them fully at first. Black Lightning also has a strained relationship with Jennifer as they have different moralities and principles.
-Marvin Jones III as Tobias Whale: Black Lightning is so close to taking him down, but there are roadblocks in his way that will make it difficult for Black Lighting to take him out.

-Christine Adams as Lynn Pierce Black Lighting’s ex-wife: Black Lightning is very concerned about the well-being of his family, especially his two daughters. Black lighting and Lynn may have divorced, but they are still close friends who both care deeply for each other.
Plot details:
Black lightning is back to fight crime in the city of Freeland. Black Lightning Season five will be centred around Black Lighting’s relationship with his ex-wife and daughters, as well as how he balances between life as a vigilante and fatherhood.
One thing I don’t like about Black Lightning: One downside to Black lighting isn’t that it is Black Lighting, but he doesn’t have any powers. He is just a man fighting against crime with his own two hands.

Who is Black Lightning?
Black Lightning was created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden in 1977 as part of DC comics’ attempt at reaching out to new audiences, specifically African-Americans and other minorities. The character made his debut appearance in Black Lightning. Black Lightning is a metahuman who possesses the ability to generate and manipulate electromagnetic fields that can produce lightning, as well as superhuman speed.
