A third game of the Bravely Default series has been announced, and a bit confusing is called Bravely Default 2.
That is because this is a sequel completely separate from the two original games. It will have a new world, new characters and a new story. Think of the first two 3DS games as Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2, then, and this as something completely new.
But it's still a Bravely Default game, created by the Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler team in Square Enix with a Revo soundtrack. Expect party-based RPG pranks and an expanding world to explore when you arrive for Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Our first, and very brief, look at the new Bravely Default 2 configuration and the heroes came as part of a breakthrough launched during The Game Awards last night.
