Coach said that it is the “season of a lifetime” in the wake of how the team put up a spirit which has taken the opponents with full force and created a historic win.
The Indian team has defeated England by seven runs in the third ODI, and it has likewise registered a series win with 2-1.
Coach reacts on how great the season has been for India, where it has defeated English on all the formats i.e. the Test series 3-1, the T20I series 3-2 and then ODI series 2-1.
Ravi Shastri didn’t keep the celebrations with himself rightly so, as this is the time when the whole India is celebrating. In his tweet, he congratulated everyone for putting a stiff fight by registering the series of win in adverse situations and that too in all the formats of the game.
The third ODI against England saw a pivotal role played by Sam Curran who did the massive talking through his bat, but his innings didn’t yield any results, as India won the match.
Even England has to be appreciated for its exemplary performance since it was down for 200/7 at one time. However, Curran played one of the best innings of his life where he changed the overall scenario by giving a tough fight to the opponents.
The whole match was a battle of fluctuation fortunes as T Natarajan scored 14 runs in the final over, which made easy for the hosts to clinch the series.
India’s bowlers have remarkably outshone thanks to Shardul Thakur who clinched four wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the wickets of three batsmen.
India’s batting was a bit different in the third ODI as even the tail Enders realized their responsibility of putting a respectable score. That is the reason, why in spite of wickets falling at regular succession, India was able to manage 329.
There were three Indian players who played a pivotal role in setting a 330 run target for the visitor and there are in the form of Rishabh Pant (78), Hardik Pandya (64) and Shikhar Dhawan (67)
