Deborah Snyder, the director of “Army of Thieves,” was interviewed by an entertainment reporter. She discussed her thoughts on the film and how it relates to our society today. The director also talked about what she has done in the past that helped shape this movie and why she wanted to make a thriller.
What Deborah Snyder Discusses On Army of Thieves?
The Army of the Dead universe will expand later this year when a live-action movie called Army of Thieves comes out on Netflix. The film, which debuted its first trailer at San Diego Comic-Con in 2021, will tell the story of a character in Army of the Dead. The film will follow Ludwig Dieter (played by Matthias Schweighöefer) six years before the events of that film and explore what he was doing during the early stages of the zombie. Army of the Dead is just one project in the same universe as Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. Creators Deborah and Zack Snyder are telling us more about this new universe.
The Snyders talked to Netflix Geeked. They said they enjoyed how the story got bigger and bigger, and how it continued to grow.
He said, “This will be a fun genre and I thought we could do it well.” And he thought that people would enjoy it and that it would be popular. “But what it has become is really exciting for us because we really love this world too. And to just see the world grow is fun.”
Deborah Snyder talked about how Netflix helped them a lot. They gave them the opportunity to take what they had created and make it even better before Army of the Dead came out on Netflix.
What was the Statement of Deborah Snyder?
“And also to create something wholly original, after working on so many projects back to back that was steeped deep in canon, to actually create our own canon I think has been really, really fun,” she said. “Then to expand it and have these other worlds and these other projects, you know, on the heels of that, I think has been really great.
It was a bold move because like a lot of times, the studios want to wait for the sure bet before they’re gonna commit to other projects, and to Netflix’s credit, they saw what this world was and we kept pitching them things and they kept saying yes. So we were like, ‘What about this German spinoff? What about if we have Dieter and we get his backstory? What if we do an anime? They let us do it concurrently. I think for the audience it’s a win-win because they have Army, and then sometime this fall, we’re going to have Army of Thieves, and then sometimes, you know, next year we’re going to have the anime, which is a backstory prequel.”
What are the other details related to Deborah Snyder Discusses Army of Thieves?
As was noted previously, the Army of Thieves will star and be directed by Schweighöefer, who is reprising his role as Ludwig Dieter from Army of the Dead. The film will also star Nathalie Emmanuel, Ruby O’Fee, Stuart Martin, and Gustavo Khanate. Zack Snyder is a producer on the film and has store credit.
“The Thieves will be a very entertaining and very cool movie,” Schweighöfer told ComicBook.com earlier this year. “We finished, and I’m in post-production. Nathalie Emmanuel is fantastic in that movie. And yeah, it will be a hell of a ride. It’s so funny. And you will see scenes never seen before. It’s really entertaining. So, hopefully, we can all watch that movie soon.”

How did Deborah Snyder help make some movies?
I’m not sure what you are asking here. Please restate your question in another way or refer to one of the first two questions I answered about Deborah’s career.
I would love to hear more about this. Please provide some examples of how Deborah Snyder has helped Zack’s films or any other filmmakers she has been involved with in the past and what skills you think she could offer as an adviser for your production company.
What movies did Deborah Snyder produce that was successful?
Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice (2016), 300, Man of Steel (2013) are all very successful movies by my estimation and I haven’t seen anything else from her yet so it is hard to say if there are others but those three seem like safe bets at least based on their commercial success alone. However, since they each have different budgets, Deborah Snyder has had different levels of success from one to the other.
Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice (2016) is Deborah Snyder’s most successful movie on a commercial level, and it also received mixed reviews from critics with an IMDb rating of 53% which is not as high as Man of Steel or 300 but still fairly successful.
