Plot details:
Insecure season five will focus on the friendship between Issa and Molly as they navigate through life, love, and their careers. In the fifth season of Insecure, Issa is struggling with her career while Molly tries to work on her marriage. All this mayhem causes them to put a strain on their friendship, and they both learn how difficult it can be to say sorry.

Viola Davis is an actress and producer from the US. She was born in St. Matthews, South Carolina, to a nurse mother and father who worked as a doctor at Duke University Hospital for 30 years. In 1995 Viola graduated with honors from New York’s prestigious Juilliard School with a B.F.An in Drama and Dance, before winning an Academy Award for her performance as Rose Maxson in Fences (2016).
In 2009 Viola was nominated for another Oscar award for Doubt; she played Sister James alongside Meryl Streep’s character, Beth Sullivan.
Synopsis:
In Insecure Season Five, Issa and Molly both live in the Inland Empire. They work at an Office Max-Esque store called Deals that are closing down, and they are trying to figure out what their next steps should be.

With Lawrence on his way out of town, because he is going to be a father, Issa is working on her own and wants to set up shop with an Insecure-like web series. Meanwhile, Molly has found herself in the dating scene again, but this time she’s trying to work harder so that it doesn’t consume all of her focus like before.
What’s new in-season Five?
In Insecure season five, we see that Molly is now a successful managing editor at an online feminist magazine.
Issa also starts up a new Insecure-like web series that’s about the Insecurities, a group of friends who get in and out of relationships. Lawrence is now finishing his last couple of months at work before he goes home to be with his baby daughter.
Issa also made it her mission this season to find Molly a man for once because she is still single. Insecure season five starts with Issa in Morocco visiting her best friend, the Insecurities must learn to handle themselves when they find out that one of their friends has been arrested for his involvement in a terroristic plot against America.
