Fergie and Josh Duhamel are finally splitting apart for good!
Though the celebrity couple broke up in 2017, it is now that Fergie has filed for divorce for legal separation. Fergie, 44, has initiated the divorce last Friday in Pasadena Court.
The couple had been married for 8 years and share a 5 years old baby as well. They started dating in 2004 and after three years got engaged in 2007 which led them took vows together in 2009. After being such a perfect couple, why they got separated is what nobody knows.
The duo kept mum when asked about the reason for their separation. Though they haven’t spoken much about the matter, the apparent reason for the split is that Josh wants to extend the family by having more kids while Fergie wants to focus on her career.
Recently, in an interview, the pop singer said, “With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year. We wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public”.
She told the press that she has to juggle a lot between work and being a good mother. For now, she just wants to take care of his existing child properly. It is not possible for her to extend the family as she has already got enough on her plate. She further said, “My 5-year-old is enough for now”. So, it is quite clear the pop star is not okay to give birth to another child.
On the other hand, Duhamel said that he is not 30 years old anymore and he wants to have more children in the next few years. He said in an interview,” I am trying to find a girl that I can be with I have a family with.”
Well, that is not the only reason for their split. Transformers’ actor is reportedly linked with various women previously which ultimately cause Fergie to file for divorce. Recently he was dating the actress Elsa Gonzalez who he broke up with sometime back. Josh is dating some young women lately.
So, it’s over! Though we are heartbroken on the news, the good part is the duo is ending things on a friendly note. Seems like they are still good friends and support each other as a family.
When asked about Fergie, soon to be her ex-husband says, “She is a great girl but we just don’t work with each other.” He further said that he loves her and he always will and she is, of course, the mother of his child.
