Hotel Transylvania 4 release date
– Hotel Transylvania was released on September 28th, 2012, and made over $200 million domestically, and became the most successful independent animated film at that time. Hotel Transylvania grossed $473 million worldwide by January 2013 which made it Sony Pictures Animation’s highest-earning movie to date (until Hotel Tanslylvana earned more). It has since been surpassed by Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs sequel, Hotel Transylvania’s sequels, Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse, Angry Birds Movie, and Goosebumps Horrorland.
– Genndy Tartakovsky directed Hotel Transylvania. Hotel Transylvania is Sony Pictures Animation’s first CGI movie and it was the studio’s second-ever film to be released in full stereoscopic three-dimensions with Dolby Atmos surround sound. Hotel Transylvania has a 73% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, but currently holds an “average” audience score of 83%.
– Hotel Transylvanian had a budget of $85 million which makes it one of the most expensive independent animated films made at that time, as well as being Sony Pictures Animations biggest production up until Hotel Tanslylvana surpassed it by more than double its budget. The animation process took six years when Tartakovsky started working on Hotel Transylvania, and Hotel Tanslylvana is currently in its sixth year of production.
– In Hotel Transylvanian, Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler) runs a hotel for monsters where he cannot allow humans inside. The only human allowed into the resort is his daughter Mavis’s best friend Jonathan Harker aka Johnny; this is due to the death of Johnny’s parents at the hands of Van Helsing. However during Hotel Tansyvlana Dracula realizes that silly things like “monsters not being able to have children because they don’t age” are just myths so he goes on vacation with some friends who happen to be werewolves, zombies, mummies, and more. Hotel Transylvania’s theme is about making friends and not judging people by how they look.
– Hotel Transylvania features all the major stars of Hotel Transylvanian including; Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, David Spade as Frankenstein’s Monster (voiced by Mel Brooks), Keegan-Michael Key as Murray The Mummy, and Fran Drescher who reprises her role from the first two films as Eunice. Hotel Transylvania also includes some new voices to fill in characters like Helen Mirren for a one-time appearance of Auntie Agatha Dracula
– In addition to this voice cast are newcomers Amanda Se fried, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Nick Offerman who will voice Hotel Tansyvlana’s villain Dr. Vladislaus Drakula
– Hotel Transylvania is set to release on September 21st, 2020 in the United States of America. This film was directed by Genndy Tartakovsky with Sandler also taking a director credit alongside Hotel Transylvanian screenwriters Adam Chase and Robert Smigel
– The plot loosely follows that of the first two films following Mavis’ daughter Dennis as she tries to find her calling while dealing with all sorts of spooky guests at the hotel. All this while Dracula must deal with his own personal demons including his bloodthirsty cousin Dr. Vladislaus Drakula
– Hotel Transylvania’s theme is that while people might be different, they’re all the same on the inside.
– Hotel Transylvanian has grossed over $750 million worldwide and spawned a popular television series. The original animated film was released in 2012 to mixed reviews but did receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature Film
