The HID fixture is based on a reflector system that prevents at least 30% of the light from escaping. The Lumen bounce mechanism is the reason behind this.
Despite their great power, they are often dimmer than LED bulbs. LED bulbs are directed and, as a result, provide more lumens with a more uniform light distribution.
They’re excellent security lights since they’re controlled by photocells or photo control switchboards, which turn off the lights during the day and put them back on at night.
