In director Vladmir Mihalkovs latest feature film, “Our Son”, the Russian filmmaker will explore a gay relationship through a heterosexual lens. According to Variety’s announcement on Wednesday, the film will be about a man who learns after his son is born that he has three months to live. The father decides to marry his partner of 10 years so their son can have two parents under Russian law.
The director told Variety in an interview that it seemed “cruelty” for him not to marry his partner in those circumstances. Mihalkov, who screenwriter the film for his son, said that the story isn’t about being gay in Russia, but rather about courage and love. “It’s a very touching story about love and friendship,” he said. “I’ve always been against individuals being stereotyped for no reason.”

The storyline of the Our Son is about a family who has recently lost their son, Max. The story tells of the events that led up to his death as well as how they move on after losing him. As it tells the story, we learn what made our protagonist so happy in life and his tragic death was just tragic but not overwhelming because Max’s father still had much love for him.
The entire book is written in the form of letters from the mother to her dead son Max, explaining what happened to him and how life has been moving on after losing him. Billy Porter and Luke Evans have joined the drama surrounding our son’s custody battle
Billy Porter is joining the Showtime ensemble drama pilot “Dollar” as a series regular, TVLine has learned. In addition, Luke Evans and Helena Bonham Carter are also on board for the project. The trio join previously announced stars Denis O’Hare and Sarah Shahi as police officers investigating a murder that takes place at an upscale New York City restaurant.
The series is based on Dollar-a-Year Bill, a novel by Richard North Patterson. The drama is described as a crime procedural that will raise questions about morality and public and private life. Porter, who is best known for his work on Broadway (including “Kinky Boots” and “Shuffle Along”) has an extensive background in theater. He received a Tony nomination for his work on the 2010 revival of “Dreamgirls,” as well as nods from the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his performances in “Kinky Boots” (2011) and the revival of “Shuffle Along” (2012).
