Kenan Thompson spoofed the former football star in SNL’s hilarious opener and confirmed that she had received a vaccine via Twitter just a day after OJ Simpson had announced the same. Kate McKinnon opened the first episode of 2021 on Saturday Night Live with a bang and the comedian even hosted a spoof talk called “What still works?” She decided to tackle a good amount of controversial issues including that of QAnon conspiracies.
Tom Brady, along with the social media giants Twitter and Facebook and the Covid 19 vaccine are a few among them. Kenan Thompson played OJ Simpson in the sketch just a day after the real life football star had confirmed receiving the vaccine. The latter is now 73 years old. Kate began it as Kenan’s OJ had clad in a pink golf shirt along with chino pants, “Joining us is someone who just received the vaccine.”
He happily smiled at the audience as Kate tried to hid herself around the fact that OJ who happens to be one of the most controversial figures of America is led guilty for the murder of his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson back since 1994. She inquired, “Teachers can’t get the vaccine — but you did?…People with long term lung conditions can’t get the vaccine — but you did?”
Kate remained flabbergasted, and to it, Kenan’s OJ had replied, “Absolutely!” She went on promoting, “Among the first 3% of all Americans to get the vaccine was OJ Simpson?” To this, she replied, “Eh, guilty as charged.” These lines are certainly indicated towards OJ’s wrap sheet over the legal issues that were held in the past. He was found infamously not guilty in the murder of Nicole. It ended up a prison post where a robbery and kidnapping was called off for his attempt to steal a few of the past sports memorabilia. Kate responded to it saying, “So the vaccine rolled out — it doesn’t work. Thank you so much for coming.”
