The concept art of Left 4 Dead 3 has leaked and comes with the claim that Valve may be working on a VR version of the classic horror series (via PC Games N).
Valve News Network: the same source that leaked Half-Life: Alyx screenshots: has published a new video that delves into Left 4 Dead. The YouTube content creator said the third entry to the huge zombie shooter was under development "in late 2011 or early 2012", before Valve finished the project in early 2017. However, the hype to Half-Life: Alyx– Described as the developer's flagship virtual reality title – has led to a change of opinion for the company.
The video claimed that "there is a great possibility (Valve) to re-release Left 4 Dead 3, and it is possible that they have already done so" to provide a new game to the Valve Index. The team flew off the shelves when Half-Life: Alyx It was revealed, and apparently the developer wants his clients to get an investment for his money. "I have news that there were some important meetings that took place almost immediately after the advance of Half-Life: Alyx "Fall" that essentially caused all Valve inmates to change everything about their future plans for virtual reality, public communication and game development in general, "said the content creator.
As for the leaked concept art of Left 4 Dead 3, there are "15 models of zombie head representations" from the binned project of 2012. Those are shown in the video and are the work of Half life creature designer Ted Bachmann. These heads are twisted, and I'd hate to turn my headset to find these guys face-to-face-loose-definition-of-a-face. In other words, it would be a great game for the Valve Index.
Valve News Network repeated that "Left 4 Dead 3 is real" and "Left 4 Dead VR is also real", but unfortunately, we have to take this with a pinch of salt. Valve has not made any comments confirming or denying the existence of these projects. As a result, we must hold our horses and wait for official information.
