The Midnight Mass is a new Netflix original animated horror film. This special is directed by Kevin Deters and J.D. King, with the script written by Shane Hurlbut and Seth Grahame-Smith, based on an idea from Kevin Deters who also produced this project together with Barry Josephson (who also served as executive producer). The Midnight Mass stars Patton Oswalt as Father Fredrickson – who lives in a small town called Bethlehem; he’s struggling to keep his church open after attendance has dropped off over the years.

Plot details:
Midnight Mass follows Father Fredrickson as Midnight Mass’s sponsor church, St. Augustine’s has a new priest assigned to the Midnight Mass team: Fr. Juan Carlos Velazquez (Édgar Ramírez). The young Colombian is struggling with English and some of Midnight Mass’ more modern aspects – like the rock band and Jazz Choir – but as Midnight Mass’ attendance slips, Velazquez is the only one who can save Midnight Mass.
