Chris Pine, who is currently starring in New Star Trek: Chris Pine’s New Movie, sat down with starwars.com to talk about his new movie and the new crew of the Enterprise. He talked about how this crew was “all-new” and had a “different dynamic.” He also discussed how he felt it was important for him to be part of New Star Trek because he wanted to maintain some continuity between New Star Trek movies and previous ones.

Plot details:
New Kirk assembles New Enterprise from the ashes of its predecessor and sets off to explore New New reaches of space.
In this alternate universe, Spock has been living on Vulcan for some time with his wife Amanda Grayson (played by Jennifer Morrison), and their son David. The Guardian went into detail about how Spock is “a New New Spock, but also a New New version of the character we know and love.
“The time has come where he’s been reunited with his human mother (Grayson). His father Sarek is still alive in this universe, which gives us an opportunity to see that family dynamic between son and father,” New Cumberbatch New New New New New New New Spock, who is also a Vulcan in this universe.
“It’s the first time we see how that relationship unfolds as he learns more about his Earth past and also has to face some of those demons.”
The Guardian went on to say “the character becomes torn between two worlds – living with his human mother or with his Vulcan father.”
The Guardian said “the story of New Star Trek is ripped from the headlines” and will explore the United Federation of Planets’s first contact with a new world called New Vulcan, which is the home planet of Spock’s father and his wife.
New Cumberbatch said, “the idea that we can’t explore because it’s not in our galaxy or on this world has been blown wide open.” We are going to see some really cool new worlds.
“We’re going to New Vulcan, which is the home planet of Spock’s father and his wife. We also just shot in New York City for a few days,” Cumberbatch went on to say in an interview with MTV News Canada’s Josh Horowitz.
Synopsis:
New Star Trek is set in an alternate reality from previous films. The reworked timeline is created from the moment New Kirk avoids a deadly attack by Nero, saving New Spock.
