Plot details of Queen of The South Season 5:
Queen Of the south follows Teresa Mendoza, a Mexican woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered. In order to survive, she teams up with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very cartel that has ordered her boyfriend’s death.
Teresa Mendoza is a woman who starts working for a drug cartel in Mexico after her boyfriend is murdered by gangsters just before they were supposed to move in together. After two years of rising up in the ranks, she becomes a Queenpin and lives with her boyfriend’s friend while working for Miguel Galindo.
She manages to escape Mexico when an assassination attempt on her life is carried out at one of his parties after inheriting all his money and power that he left behind before moving away with her boyfriend’s best friend. Queen of the South Season five continues with Teresa having to return to Mexico in order to protect her family after Galindo fled, giving him his power back and killing all people who had betrayed them.
