Paul B. Cummings is the executive producer of Rick and Morty, one of Adult Swim’s most successful animated shows to date. Paul has been with Adult Swim for over 15 years now, and he recently made an appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) to talk about what it was like working on Rick and Morty. Paul talked about how much work goes into producing a show like this, as well as his time spent working on other projects such as Venture Brothers.

-Rick: Rick will be played by Rick Moranis. Rick is an alcoholic scientist who has gone on adventures with his grandson Morty for years now. Rick’s character in the live-action series will look exactly like Rick does in Rick and Morty animated version, although he may act more maturely than how he acts in the show due to him being older than Rick.
-Morty: Morty will be played by Justin Roiland himself! This Rick and Morty Live-Action will be a Rick and Morty show where Rick is played by Rick Moranis, including Justin Roiland being the voice of both Rick and Morty!
-Jerry: Jerry Smith will initially be voiced by Chris Parnell in Rick and Morty live action. However, it has been said that due to not having enough time for Rick and Morty Live-Action, Rick and Morty may end up like The Simpsons, where the characters change voice actors.
-Summer: Summer Smith will be voiced by Spencer Grammer (the daughter of actor Kelsey Grammer). She is known for her role as Greer on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place. Her character in Rick and Morty Live-Action will be Rick’s daughter.

-Beth: Beth Smith in Rick and Morty live-action is currently being voiced by Sarah Chalke, who also voices Scurll from Disney Channel show Gravity Falls. Her character in Rick and Morty Live-Action will have the same role as her Rick & Morty counterpart; she takes care of Rick, Morty, and the kids.
Rick’s sister is currently being played by Kristen Schaal, who is known for her roles on Disney Channel shows Gravity Falls and Bob’s Burgers. Rick’s sister will have the same role as Rick & Morty counterpart; she will be a love interest to Jerry Smith (and Rick if he ends up being evil).
Plot details:
Rick and Morty Live-Action will be Rick’s origin story. (Tara Strong). She will also voice Rick’s wife, who is a normal person. Rick’s daughter is a love interest to Morty Smith. Rick and his family will also have pet dogs, but Rick will keep them in the garage because he doesn’t want people to find out that they exist due to Rick being an alcoholic (and not wanting any interruptions).
