In scenes from a marriage, Tom and Abby McNeil have been married for 20 years. They are both successful professionals who grew up in the same neighbourhood of Chicago. The movie is based on scenes from their marriage as they fight to keep their relationship alive. They try therapy, couples counselling, and therapy to figure out what’s wrong with them before finally admitting that they just don’t feel love anymore for each other.
