Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass vol. 2 will introduce six new fighters to the incredibly successful cross-fighting game, director Masahiro Sakurai announced today.
Byleth of Fire Emblem: three houses complete the first batch of DLC fighters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, following Terry Bogard of Fatal fury, Banjo and Kazooie, hero of Dragon questand Joker of Person 5. The main game features more than 80 playable characters, and we knew we would have even more DLC fighters in a second Pass, but Sakurai revealed that there will be six fighters in the next expansion.
The six have been decided, so it is no use asking or asking Sakurai to add her closest and dearest. The characters of movies and television are out of the question, so the game director will choose and choose between established video games. Before Byleth was revealed, many thought it would be Arle de Puyo Puyo. Some thought it could be 2B of Nier Automataand Kazuma Kiryu of Yakuza series was a favorite for a while. Sakurai has also said that the characters that will be added should be suitable for families, so maybe the mafia member will not receive a letter in the post. Still, it is quite intriguing that six characters will come to the game, and we have plenty of time to speculate what their identities are.
The second Pass is in development, and Sakurai expressed regret that the DLC will go on sale before developers can show what it contains. I hoped this didn't deter players, since it was the same situation for the first Pass.
The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 will go on sale for pre-purchase on January 28. Those who make a pre-purchase will get an Old Soldier costume for the Mii Swordfighter, inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This costume is only available through pre-purchase and will not be added to the game separately like other costumes.
