-John Borman as James Tiberius Kirk (played by William Shatner): captain of the starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) and one of the central characters in the star trek.
-Jodie Foster as Nyota Uhura: a Starfleet officer and linguist who was assigned to star fleet headquarters for translation and cryptology operations. She is also an instructor at Starfleet academy on earth, where she helps train new students.
-Majel Barrett as Nyota Uhura: chief communications officer aboard the starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701). She was the first Starfleet officer to serve on a starship.
-Jon Favreau as Hikaru Sulu: helmsman aboard the starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701). He also served for star fleet command operations at star fleet headquarters on earth.
-Laurie Main as Leonard McCoy: Starfleet Medical Officer and Chief Medical Officer on the starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701).
-Dominic Keating as Malcolm Reed: Chief Engineer aboard star cruiser USS Enterprise (NCC-1701).

The fellow chief engineer of the starship Columbia NX 01 where he develops a romantic relationship with her captain, Erika Hernandez. Later transferred to Starship Enterprise (NCC-1701).
