It’s hard to keep a tight lid on anything in Hollywood these days, but Charlize Theron took it to another level during her recent press tour for her role as superhero The Female. Theron revealed that she was able to get Emma Watson and Jennifer Lawrence on board with the project through some sneaky skype chats and got Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Rihanna, and Angelina Jolie excited about the prospect of appearing in future episodes as villains.
Introduction to The Boys
It had a good idea but the story was not that great. This is my opinion on the book The Boys. It is an interesting book but it fell short in some ways. I would read this author again though and I would recommend it to people who like reading about superheroes or entertainment in general. I liked the introduction to this book because it showed the world from a different viewpoint and gave you an idea of what was going on in the character’s heads. I was disappointed with this book because the storyline was not that good. It was very generic, (the good guys vs bad guys) and lacked creativity.

The storyline of The Boys
The Boys is a dark comedy from the mind of writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson. The series is a violent look at what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s a world where the line between good and evil is blurred, and there isn’t much difference between the two sides. The series follows a group of people known informally as “the boys,” who work for “Vought-American” (a play on real-life defense contractor Vought) who, as their name implies, manufacture and sell superpowered individuals into advertising gimmicks for big corporations.

What Makes The Boys TV Show Different from the Comics
The Boys is a show based on a comic series that followed the lives of these high school students. As they deal with their daily troubles, they’re also beginning to develop powers as part of a process called “the trigger”. They also have an enemy named The Count who has been stalking them throughout their lives and is trying to kill them all before they reach adulthood. The show is definitely rougher around the edges than the comic but the characters are all there, and more importantly, the story of these kids, their struggles, and their powers is captivating.
So, what do you think about The Boys?
