The CW made the announcement in the third week of September that Supergirl Season 6 would mark an end of the series. The final season will consist of 20 episodes and premiere anytime in 2021.
According to What’s on Netflix, Supergirl Season 6 is likely to stream on Netflix between August and October 2021 or even possibly November or December next year at the latest.
Supergirl is ending this season. This decision was made after Melissa Benoist’s new child was born. She wants to be there for her baby and spend time with him/her. On March 4, 2020, Melissa Benoist and her husband, Chris Wood announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child. Their son was born in September 2020.
