The storyline of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
The Lord of the Rings is a series of fantasy novels written by British author J. R. R. Tolkien, published between 1954 and 1955, which was later adapted into three films in 2001-03 by director Peter Jackson.
The story tells of the quest by a small fellowship led by Gandalf to destroy the One Ring and end Sauron’s reign in Middle-earth with the help of people there.
The Fellowship of the Ring, the first book in the series, begins with Frodo Baggins, a hobbit who lives in the Shire. Frodo is attacked and pursued by Sauron’s forces and sets out to deliver a magic ring to his childhood friend and relative, Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo reveals that he is the one who stole it from Gollum (who stole it from Sauron) many years prior.
