Plot summary:
The season starts where we left it last; with Daenerys Targaryen finally arriving at her destination to take back the kingdom that is rightfully hers. For the first time in the series, the final season will be overseen by creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss who also wrote the vast majority of the episodes this last year together with their co-executive producers and writers for the show Dave Hill, Bryan Cogman, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and the showrunners of the series, David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik.
Season two is set during the simultaneous military conflicts that are occurring across the continents due to the power vacuum left by the death of the High King.
Season two begins with the death of one of the main characters from the last series, Lady Ciri. The main plotline is that Geralt has the difficult task of finding the daughter of the now-dead king. Geralt is a witcher, which means he hunts monsters and can use magic signs to help him in his quests for the lost girl Ciri who is being hunted by the Wild Hunt as well as other power-hungry regimes across the land.
The second season follows the story of the witcher Geralt. The show picks up from the end of the first season where he’s on a quest to find Ciri and protect her from the Wild Hunt. Geralt is the only witcher left in the world. He’s helped by his partner, the bard Dandelion and the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg.
