Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom
Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom is a Transformers game released on November 20, 2010. It was developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision, which has never done Transformers games before. The Transformers are split into two factions in the Transformers universe: the Autobots and the Decepticons. Transformers: WFC is based entirely around the conflict between them. The Decepticons are led by Megatron (voiced by Hugo Weaving), who has been brought back to life after being killed at Mission City. As with any TF game, you can play as either faction during the campaign mode or multiplayer mode.
Transformers: War for Cybert on Kingdom Plot
Transformers: War For Cybertron takes place on the Transformers’ home planet of Cybertron, which is also dying from a shortage of Energon and natural resources. Transformers do not die when they run out of energy; they “self-destruct”, but can be reborn (or reformatted) by gathering new resources to build themselves again. Transformers from different factions care little for their own kind, as seen in the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons.
This eventually turns into an all-out war and devastates both cities, nature, and other Transformers indiscriminately (even each faction’s members). The story begins with Megatron returning to life after his death at Mission City several years ago. It then moves to a Transformers battle arena where Megatron attempts to recruit his old minion Starscream into rejoining him, and later, after Megatron is defeated by Optimus Prime, the government hires an entrepreneur named Kavaxas to recover artifacts from Transformers wrecks.
In an attempt to locate an ancient relic that will grant them access to Primus ‘ power source (a “Matrix” of leadership), the Autobots are led by Bumblebee and Optimus Prime on a mission back in time, while the Decepticons lead by Shockwave prepare for war against both factions..
However Transformers: War for Cybertron ends there, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron begins with the death of Sentinel at hands of Transformers called Unicron. The planet collapses and the Transformers get scattered among space, during this time are Transformers: Age of Extinction and Transformers: The Last Knight.
The Transformers have been around for several million years but only come out in the daytime to preserve their energy, they hibernate at night.
Kings is the name given to Transformers who can manipulate Dark Energon, which gives them additional power that they use to transform things into undead Transformers. Kavaxas is one such king seeking the Matrix of Leadership for himself.
Lord Nekonron exiles his former assistant Kavaxas from Unicron’s body after he inadvertently merged with it; physically becoming one entity and losing control over much of what made him a living being -including his own thoughts; now merely a slave to Unicron’s will.
Unicron provides him with the ability to summon the undead Transformers from his body as an extension of himself. His master plan is to manipulate Galvatron into getting Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Sentinel Prime into a vulnerable position, so he can consume them. Galvatron unwittingly helps Kavaxas by attacking Megatron and Starscream in their own base on Cybertron, causing them to flee for fear that Galvatron has turned on them; the two leaders are unaware they have been followed back to Earth by Kavaxas who then forces Galvatron into helping him transform some Transformers buried in England.
