Unstoppable Domains and Pundi X Launch .PUNDI TLD for Crypto and Decentralized AI

Unstoppable Domains and Pundi X Roll Out .PUNDI Domains for Crypto and AI Users

On June 24, Unstoppable Domains teamed up with Pundi X—a blockchain payment firm—to introduce a new kind of web address: the .PUNDI domain. It’s not your usual .com or .net. Instead, it’s built for people who regularly deal with crypto transactions or dabble in decentralized AI projects.

The idea is pretty straightforward. These domains can simplify wallet addresses, making crypto payments less of a headache. Instead of copying and pasting a long string of random characters, you could send money to something like *yourname.PUNDI*. That’s the hope, anyway. Whether it catches on? Well, that’s another question.

More Than Just Payments

Pundi X isn’t just about payments, though. They’ve been working on blockchain-based point-of-sale systems, mobile wallets, and tools for cross-border transactions. But lately, they’ve shifted some focus toward AI. Their new project, Pundi AI, lets users earn digital assets by labeling data—images, text, audio—to train AI models. They call it “tag-to-earn.”

It’s an interesting twist. Instead of mining crypto, you’re essentially helping machines learn. And it seems to be gaining some traction. Pundi AI was recently accepted into NVIDIA’s Inception program, which gives startups access to resources and tools. That’s a decent vote of confidence, at least in theory.

Why .PUNDI Matters (Or Doesn’t)

The .PUNDI domain feels like a small piece of a bigger plan—tying together crypto payments and AI development under one umbrella. Unstoppable Domains has been pushing these blockchain-based domains for a while, arguing they’re more secure and user-owned than traditional ones. But adoption has been slow.

Will this one be different? Maybe. If Pundi X’s ecosystem grows, having a .PUNDI address could become more useful. Right now, though, it’s hard to say. Crypto domains still feel niche, and adding AI into the mix doesn’t necessarily change that.

Still, it’s worth keeping an eye on. Between Pundi X’s payment tools and their AI experiments, they’re at least trying something different. Whether it works? Well, that’s up to users.
