Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce fell victim to a multimillion-dollar Ponzi scheme orchestrated by Siddharth Jawahar, who received an eleven-year prison sentence for swindling investors out of more than $35 million.
According to allegations, Jawahar mismanaged client assets and relied on capital from new investors to fund payouts for previous participants. Instead of securing the funds, he financed an extravagant lifestyle complete with luxury accommodations and private aircraft.
The specific amount of money Kelce lost in the fraudulent operation has not been made public.
