Yash’s Toxic has turned out to be a major box office disaster in India. The film, produced on a massive budget, depended heavily on its Hindi-dubbed version to recoup its costs, but it ultimately delivered a disappointing performance. Following a theatrical run lasting more than 20 days, the Hindi edition of the epic feature has officially wrapped up its box office journey as the 10th highest-grossing South Indian film in Hindi. Read on for the comprehensive closing collection figures.
The period gangster action thriller debuted in theaters on August 26, 2026. Benefiting from substantial anticipation, the Hindi version posted a stellar opening day, but momentum quickly turned negative starting on day two. This sharp decline was primarily driven by unfavorable reviews from critics and negative word-of-mouth among moviegoers, leading to a severe rejection by audiences after its strong launch.
How much did Toxic (Hindi) earn at the Indian box office?
Toxic (Hindi) kicked off its run with a massive net collection of 54.5 crore. Over the course of its entire theatrical run, the film multiplied its opening-day earnings by only 2.6 times. Final collection reports show that it concluded its domestic run with 143.92 crore net, translating to a gross of 169.83 crore in India. While these figures might seem fair or decent when viewed independently, they fall short of expectations given the high investment.

Box office verdict of Toxic (Hindi)
Because Yash was coming off the blockbuster success of KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi), Toxic (Hindi) commanded a lucrative distribution agreement. Reports indicate the movie needed a net target of 200 crore just to break even. Given its opening of over 50 crore, many anticipated that the Hindi version would at least salvage its financial standing domestically, but it ultimately missed the mark.
As noted above, the Hindi version brought in 143.92 crore net, successfully recovering 71.96% of its required target. Based on Koimoi’s evaluation criteria, the film has been given a losing verdict.
