The Delhi High Court has expressed reservations regarding the inclusion of the ‘Shoorveer’ song in a violent sequence of the film, pointing out its historical ties to Maharana Pratap and deeming the placement in poor taste.
While the filmmakers defended the choice by claiming it heightened the impact of the climax, the Central Board of Film Certification is now tasked with assessing suggested modifications to the sequence. This comes in the wake of earlier backlash concerning the movie’s controversial soundtrack.
