Two months after its global debut, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey continues its strong theatrical run and sets fresh milestones. The epic has already crossed the $1 billion threshold internationally, outpacing the overseas tallies of several other major Hollywood releases.
How Much Has The Odyssey Earned In The Overseas Market?
Concluding its 10th weekend in global theaters, the Hollywood epic brought in an impressive $16.7 million from international markets over the weekend. Having now pushed past $1.1 billion overseas, it has overtaken Spider-Man: No Way Home. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man picture finished with an international collection of $1.11 billion, placing Nolan’s epic as the 11th-highest-grossing international film in history.
Can it Surpass Spider-Man: No Way Home’s worldwide total?
While The Odyssey remains far behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it still has a shot at catching up to the second-highest-grossing Spidey film. For context, Spider-Man: No Way Home finished its global theatrical run with $1.92 billion, securing the 9th-highest-grossing worldwide movie spot. Even though The Odyssey is pacing toward a worldwide finish between $1.9 billion, that does not guarantee it will top $1.92 billion, as future box office performance remains subject to change.

The Odyssey Beats Inside Out 2 Globally
The Matt Damon vehicle has generated a worldwide total of $1.72 billion, bolstered by domestic earnings of $609.8 million. Just recently, The Odyssey surpassed Jurassic World and its $1.67 billion global tally to become Universal’s highest-grossing movie of all time. It has now also beaten the animated hit Inside Out 2, which grossed $1.7 billion globally, elevating The Odyssey to the 11th-highest-grossing film worldwide overall. At present, the movie is targeting a worldwide haul of $1.8-1.9 billion.

The epic has officially become the sole motion picture in history to clear the $300 million milestone exclusively through IMAX screens.
