Netflix has returned with a vibrant, passion-filled love story wrapped in modern, first-world dilemmas that still manages to look thoroughly entertaining. Titled #Love, the upcoming web series stars Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das as they explore the complex emotions of romance while leading rival dating app companies.
In the series, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das portray Tara and Matthew, a pair of successful entrepreneurs running competing dating platforms. Their professional journeys involve helping others find their happily-ever-afters, while their own romantic lives remain unresolved—a touch of mild irony that forms the central catch of their story. As they assist others in finding love through their respective applications, the two also dabble in real-life dating.
Tara leads the compatibility-focused app Found, whereas Matthew champions chemistry through his platform, Find My Bae. Naturally, the show centers around this very debate between compatibility and chemistry played out by its founders. The trailer for #Love introduces these strong-minded protagonists as they accept a challenge to put their theories to the test: if Tara triumphs, Matthew must invite her company aboard, but if Matthew comes out on top, he earns a date with her.

Even in the preview, Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi display strong chemistry, leaving much anticipation for how their dynamic will play out in the full-length format. The series focuses heavily on the friction between these two determined individuals, presenting itself as a lighthearted watch that offers a clear departure from the violent themes often seen on big screens and OTT platforms.
Sharing insights via a press statement, Aishwarya Lekshmi characterized her role as “emotionally layered, ambitious and hardworking; she struggles, she falls, and yet she keeps building, all while trying to make sense of her own love life.” Conversely, Arjun Das defined his character as a secret, hopeless romantic disguised behind a relaxed exterior.
Love is written by Nirmal Williams, with Sharada Subramanian and Shweta Chakravarty as co-writers, and produced by May 6 Entertainment Factory. The series will begin streaming on Netflix from October 2.
