Following the success of Dhamaal 4, Ajay Devgn is preparing for a potential blockbuster release with Drishyam 3. The recently launched trailer has generated widespread excitement and anticipation for the epic conclusion, pointing toward a massive opening at the Indian box office. While the film is expected to become Ajay’s highest-grossing release of all time, it also provides an opportunity for him to surpass Shah Rukh Khan in the Koimoi Star Ranking. Read on for the full report.
For those unfamiliar with the system, Koimoi’s Star Power Index (also known as the Star Ranking) assigns points to Bollywood actors based on their Hindi films entering prestigious box-office clubs, considering domestic Indian collections only. For instance, a film in the 100-crore club grants 100 points, and so forth. Additionally, 50 points are awarded for any film that ranks among the top 10 Bollywood overseas grossers.
Thanks to the strong theatrical run of Dhamaal 4, Ajay Devgn secured 100 points in the Koimoi Star Ranking, raising his cumulative score to 2000 points and landing him in the 5th position on the leaderboard. With Drishyam 3 on the horizon, the actor is poised for a major shift in his points total, presenting a clear path to overtake Shah Rukh Khan.

As noted, Ajay Devgn currently occupies the 5th spot, while Shah Rukh Khan sits directly above him at 4th place with 2300 points, leaving a 300-point margin between them. If Drishyam 3 breaks into the 300 crore club domestically—an outcome that looks probable—Ajay will collect 300 additional points, matching Shah Rukh’s tally at 2300 points while Shah Rukh maintains his position.
However, should Drishyam 3 cross into the 400 crore club, Ajay’s total will increase to 2400 points, successfully vaulting him past Shah Rukh Khan into the 4th spot. Consequently, the upcoming crime thriller needs to pull in 400 crore net for Ajay to capture a higher rank than Shah Rukh in the Koimoi Star Ranking.
Here’s the breakdown of Ajay Devgn’s 2000 points on Koimoi’s Star Power Index:
12 films in the 100 crore club (Golmaal 3, Singham, Bol Bachchan, Son Of Sardaar, Singham Returns, Shivaay, Raid, Total Dhamaal, De De Pyaar De, Shaitaan, Raid 2, and Dhamaal 4) = 1200 points
4 films in the 200 crore club (Golmaal Again, Tanhaji, Drishyam 2, and Singham Again) = 800 points
