Baththa Box Office Collection Day 5: Vijay Sethupathi’s Film Stays Strong On 1st Monday, Drops Just 13% From Day 1

Vijay Sethupathi’s latest release, Baththa, is receiving an overwhelming response from the audience. The love showered on the film is also reflected in its box office. The film has spectacularly passed its Monday test. However, it needs more buzz and audience attention to achieve remarkable box-office growth.

How Much Did Baththa Earn At The Box Office In 5 Days?

The Tamil film was released in theatres on October 1 with almost zero buzz. It clashed with Nivin Pauly and Soori’s Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, which had far more buzz than Vijay’s film. However, Nivin Pauly’s Tamil film has crashed at the box office. On its first Monday, Vijay’s film collected 1.3 crore against 1200 shows. The film’s net total after 5 days stands at 11.35 crore, which equals 13.33 crore gross.

Day-Wise Box Office Collection Of Baththa

  • Day 1 – 1.5 crore
  • Day 2 – 2.7 crore
  • Day 3 – 2.75 crore
  • Day 4 – 3.1 crore
  • Day 5 – 1.3 crore

Total – 11.35 crore

Passes Monday Test

Baththa has been unanimously loved by the audience so far. Many have called it a wholesome watch and lauded Sethupathi’s performance. On its first Monday, the film saw just a 13% drop from its opening-day collection. Notably, the film’s Sunday collection is down 58.06%. Even though the film has been receiving positive buzz, it has not attracted the attention of a wider audience. The film has been made on a budget of 28 crore and may struggle to achieve 100% profit and become a hit despite glowing reviews.
