Sigma Box Office Collection Day 4: Jason Sanjay’s Film Drops 64% On 1st Monday, Likely To Wrap Under 10 Crore

Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut, Sigma, was released in theatres on October 2. While the film had a decent start, it needed strong word-of-mouth to shine at the box office. Sadly, that did not happen, and the film has already started its decline at the box office. The film, starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead role, received mixed to negative reviews upon release and failed to sustain audience attention over its opening weekend.

How Much Did Sigma Earn At The Box Office In 4 Days?

The Tamil action film had a good start at the box office, collecting over 2 crore net in India. However, it began to decline from day 2. On its first Monday, the film’s daily collection dropped below 1 crore. The Tamil movie earned just 84 lakh across 1,500 screens in India, with an occupancy rate of 17%. The net total of the film after 4 days stands at 6.19 crore. The film is likely to witness a drop in the coming days with no buzz around it.

Day-Wise Box Office Collection Of Sigma

  • Day 1- 2.35 crore
  • Day 2- 1.5 crore
  • Day 3- 1.5 crore
  • Day 4- 84 lakh

Total- 6.19 crore

Fails 1st Monday Test

Sigma has witnessed a drop of over 40% from its opening-day collection on the 1st Monday. This indicates that the film has failed the Monday test. Jason Sanjay‘s directorial dropped by 64% on its Monday when compared with the film’s opening day collection of 2.35 crore net. The film will either remain flat during the week or decline. At the current pace, the film is likely to wrap under 10 crore unless it sees a boost in its second weekend. The possibility of the same is unlikely at present.

More About Sigma

Sigma is written and directed by Jason Sanjay and produced by Lyca Productions. The film stars Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. The film is shot by Krishnan Vasant, while Thamas S. has composed the music. Praveen KL has served as the editor. It also stars Raju Sundaram, Shiv Pandit, Faria Abdullah, and Sampath Raj, among others.

Overall, it’s interesting to see that a successful actor’s child has decided to pursue direction over acting. It will be up to the audience to decide whether it becomes a hit.
