This project holds special significance as it marks a reunion between the megastar and acclaimed director Adoor Gopalakrishnan following a 32-year hiatus. Set in a Kerala town, the upcoming feature stars Mammootty in the role of a physician. The preview begins with another resident advising Mammootty, “Times are changing. And it calls for some compromises.” With a smile, Mammootty replies, “Times don’t change. We do.” Townspeople are subsequently shown questioning his charitable medical work and the origin of his funding. Operating without a set fee, Mammootty tells his patients to pay whatever amount they are able to afford.
As the trailer continues, Mammootty is seen performing his medical duties and offering advice to those he meets. The atmosphere in the town shifts dramatically following a Maoist attack, and the subsequent inquiry leads straight to the doctor’s clinic. While law enforcement expresses reluctance to scrutinize the physician, they note that an incoming complaint obligates them to proceed with an investigation.
