Avengers Endgame: Encore India Box Office: All Set To Become 2nd Hollywood Film To Enter The 400 Crore Club

Following the massive success of The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the Indian box office is gearing up for another major Hollywood event. This time, excitement is building around a special theatrical re-release rather than a brand-new title. Avengers Endgame: Encore is already generating considerable buzz through a robust advance booking response and is positioned to cross a significant milestone during its run. Read on for the full breakdown!

Avengers Endgame: Encore targets a big start at the Indian box office

For those unfamiliar, Encore is a special theatrical re-release of Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame. This cut includes extra footage along with an exclusive post-credits scene offering a preview of Avengers: Doomsday. With its theatrical release slated for September 25, anticipation is exceptionally high. Driven by Marvel’s dedicated fanbase in India, the movie is primed for a strong opening.

Advance ticket sales for Avengers Endgame: Encore opened on Thursday, moving 15,000 tickets within the first 24 hours and demonstrating clear fan urgency. Given this momentum, a net opening of 8-10 crore is achievable at the Indian box office, putting a major net collection milestone well within reach.

Endgame is ready to enter the 400 crore club

During its original 2019 theatrical run, Avengers: Endgame earned a net collection of 373.22 crore. It now requires just 26.78 crore more to hit the 400 crore mark, a target it is projected to accomplish during its opening weekend. Consequently, the special re-release will successfully push Endgame into the 400 crore club.

Currently, Spider-Man: Brand New Day stands as the sole Hollywood film to join the 400 crore club. This re-release will make Avengers: Endgame the second Hollywood film to reach this milestone. Notably, both movies hail from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With Avengers: Doomsday arriving this December, the MCU is also on track to secure its third member in the 400 crore club.
