Veteran lyricist Sameer Anjaan has voiced strong criticism regarding current trends and practices within Bollywood music. Expressing deep concern, he lamented that experienced lyricists are being sidelined and modern tracks lack genuine emotional depth.
Targeting specific cinematic choices, Anjaan condemned the integration of classic songs into violent scenes, explicitly pointing to the film Dhurandhar with the remark, “Dhurandhar ne satyanash kar diya.”
Furthermore, he shared his disappointment over major production houses failing to prioritize musical quality. Looking ahead, the lyricist suggested that the industry’s overall output could be significantly enhanced by combining the fresh perspectives of young creators with the wisdom of established talent.
