This reissue generated massive excitement among Marvel enthusiasts, a fanbase with a huge following particularly across Asian countries. In China, the picture performed on par with an entirely new release, outpacing the opening-day figures of multiple superhero features.

The Marvel feature enjoyed impressive advance ticket sales at the Chinese box office. Behaving just like a fresh release, it outperformed the opening-day grosses of several other superhero movies in the region. The reissue pulled in a solid $7 million on its first day across 75K screenings, a total that includes $951K brought in from Thursday previews.
Endgame Encore secured the 6th largest opening day for any comic book movie in the post-COVID era. For comparison, Spider-Man: Brand New Day brought in $35 million, Venom: The Last Dance earned $9.4 million, Deadpool & Wolverine scored $8.6 million, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 took in $7.4 million. Meanwhile, Endgame Encore outpaced the opening-day earnings of WW84 ($6.8 million), Quantumania ($6.1 million), Aquaman 2 ($5.1 million), The Flash ($4.2 million), The Marvels ($4.2 million), Across The Spider-Verse ($4 million), and The Batman ($3.7 million).

Weekend Prediction For Encore In China
Furthermore, the movie has already accumulated $1.2 million in advance bookings for its second day, while the screening count is set to rise to 76K. At its current trajectory, the film is targeting a 3-day opening weekend between $13 million and $16 million. While this projection falls short of Avatar’s 2021 re-release opening weekend of $21.2 million, the feature is positioned to beat the re-release opening weekend of Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone ($13.7M).
