Cathy Kelley has announced that she will leave WWE with Sunday's TakeOver: Portland is her last day with the company.
She issued the following statement on Twitter:
"I wrote and deleted about 20 times in recent days, I'm still not sure what to write … I have made the decision to leave WWE, with the acquisition of the NXT on Sunday my last day." If you know me, you know that this was more than a job, you know how much I loved it and how difficult this decision was. But sometimes to have room to grow, you have to get away.
I am very grateful for living a crazy dream in the last four years. Thanks to the WWE digital team for being a platform that never stifled creativity. Thanks to Stephanie McMahon for being a mentor and inspiration in every way. Thanks to Triple H for directing the best wrestling show currently on television and allowing me to be a part of it. And thanks to everyone who has supported me, whether watching a video I have made or sending a breath tweet. Words cannot begin to express how much it means.
I'm still not sure where my next chapter will take me, but I'm very excited about it. And I promise this is not goodbye, it's just a see you later – CK "
