The Delhi High Court has dismissed a petition filed by PB Agro that challenged notices issued by the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA). These notices targeted actors over the alleged surrogate promotion of a pan masala brand.
According to the court, the case fell outside of Delhi’s territorial jurisdiction. It concluded that Maharashtra is the proper venue for raising any objections and grievances. Furthermore, the court noted that the petitioner did not succeed in establishing that a cause of action had arisen within Delhi.
