Kangana Ranaut gets interim relief in personality rights case as HC orders AI content takedown

Kangana Ranaut has secured interim personality rights protection from the Delhi High Court against AI-generated deepfakes, manipulated videos, fabricated speeches, false quotes and impersonation. Justice Vikas Mahajan directed Meta Platforms to remove identified infringing content within 72 hours of being served the order and asked MeitY and DoT to initiate steps to block specified websites. The court said the potential damage to Ranaut’s image appeared real and immediate, with the directions remaining in force until the next hearing.
