Soori’s Mandaadi has wrapped up a stellar opening week at the box office. Despite facing competition from Karthi’s Sardar 2, the Tamil sports drama drew a strong audience response, pulling in three straight days of double-digit domestic figures during its debut weekend and securing a spot among the top-earning Kollywood films of 2026.

The sea-centered sports drama launched strongly and expanded rapidly throughout its opening weekend. On its seventh day (a Wednesday), the feature brought in 3.5 crore across India on 3,600 screens, with Tamil Nadu accounting for the bulk of that at 2.8 crore. Over its first 7 days, the film accumulated a domestic net total of 54.05 crore, translating to 63.78 crore in gross earnings. Combined with an overseas gross of 11.9 crore, the worldwide cume reaches 75.68 crore.
