NAAC Peer Team Visit Concludes Successfully at Government Arts College, Kadapa

The two-day visit of the NAAC Peer Team to the Government College for Men (Autonomous), Kadapa concluded successfully.

The NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), an autonomous body under the UGC, Ministry of Education, conducted the fourth-cycle grading visit of Assessment on December 18 and 19, 2024, at Government Arts College, Kadapa. The visit was pleasant and productive, with the three-member Peer Team thoroughly reviewing the overall performance of the college.

The team visited all departments, interacted with students, alumni, parents, teaching, and non-teaching staff, and sought suggestions for the holistic development of the institution. After a detailed and meticulous assessment, the team prepared a comprehensive report.

The Peer Team was chaired by Professor Rajeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor of Rajasthan University, with Professor Madhurendra Kumar from Allahabad University serving as Member Secretary, and Dr. Ramesh Kumbhar, Principal of Vivekanand College (Autonomous), Kolhapur, Maharashtra acting as Member.

The team engaged in discussions with the faculty and students of the Urdu Department. Following the inspection, they appreciated the literary and academic contributions of Dr. Syed Vasiullah Bakhtiary Umari, Head of the Urdu Department, and Dr. Iqbal Khusro Qadri, faculty member of the Urdu Department.

The college principal, Dr. Ravindranath, the IQAC Coordinator Dr. B. Ramachandra, the NAAC Coordinator and Vice Principal Dr. M. Ramesh and all faculty members played a key role in supporting and facilitating the visit with all necessary resources.
Mr. Ghayas Sharib from the History Department provided significant support. Former faculty member of the Urdu Department, Mr. Anwar Hadi Junaidi and Researcher and Critic Dr. Zaheer Danish Umari also offered valuable assistance.

The dedication and discipline of the students from the Urdu Department ensured that several key tasks were completed on time, contributing to the success of this significant visit.
