Composer Anandji Virji Shah recently opened up about how Rajesh Khanna’s personality changed after achieving stardom, while contrasting his trajectory with Amitabh Bachchan, who remained grounded despite reaching monumental heights.
Recalling their early days of working together with fondness, Anandji pointed out that Khanna eventually developed a sense of arrogance and struggled with alcoholism, which sparked dramatic outbursts. In the composer’s view, Khanna’s fading career ultimately stemmed from a loss of humility at the height of his success.
