Ramanand Sagar’s grandson: ‘Ranbir is more Krishna than Rama’

Shiv Sagar, the grandson of renowned filmmaker Ramanand Sagar, recently opened up about his perspective on Ranbir Kapoor’s casting in the upcoming cinematic adaptation.

According to Sagar, Kapoor’s demeanor makes him a better fit for the playful and mischievous nature of Lord Krishna rather than Lord Rama. During the discussion, Sagar also highlighted the enduring ties between his own family and the prominent Kapoor family.

In addition to discussing the lead role, Sagar touched upon the casting of Arun Govil, who has been chosen to portray King Dasharath in the project.

Helmed by director Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is officially scheduled to hit theatres with a Diwali release.
