S Mahadevan reveals scratch mix became ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ title song

Shankar Mahadevan recently opened up about the title track of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, revealing that a whopping 21 mixes were experimented with before settling on the final take. Interestingly, the very first scratch recording turned out to be the team’s favorite and made it into the film. He also highlighted the tendency of composers to overproduce their music due to insecurities.
